Friday we headed to St. Louis to go to the Cardinals game as part of Robby's birthday gift! We decided to take Caleb and Cade (Caleb's cousin) with us; they were so excited to get to spend the weekend together. These boys are just so funny and even funnier when they are together. We spent the trip there listening to them watch the movie Geotrax. Its a cartoon train movie that they absolutely love. When we arrived to our hotel, they were greeted by hotel staff with baseball suckers, red and white bead necklaces, and red punch. After a quick rest in our room, we headed to the ballpark. First stop was the team store to buy souvenirs for them and for JD, Kaylee and Graham. I think we could have bought the store out if we had the money but we found some cute things to take back home. The boys loved the game, chanting "charge" and "strike him out" or "hit a homerun". They did great and although it lasted 3 hours, they were in heaven for the most part. Who wouldn't love watching a game and eating chicken tenders, french fries, popcorn and drinking powerade?! The Cardinals won and we got to see the fireworks (once after a homerun and once after they won the game). After a good night's sleep we woke up to leave and head to the lakehouse to meet the rest of the family for our annual memorial day lake trip (of which i will blog about next). Of course, we were delayed by a flat tire on our car but Robby got it changed out with the spare and we were off to our next destination!!
