Trick or Treat

We had a fun Halloween with our cousins! The kids came over and we ate pizza and had some pumpkin cupcakes and then headed to the neighborhood to trick or treat! The costumes were as follows: Kaylee-Hannah Montana, Cade-Power Ranger, Caleb- Lightning Mcqueen, Graham-Tiger, JD-pumpkin. The kids brought home lots of candy--and I am sure Robby and I will be the ones to eat most of it. We had a few memorable stops. Those include--

1. Taking a picture with a scary neighbor dressed up as a vampire!

2. Visiting a very scary house with WAY too many decorations and they were scary to even me (after the fact we realized maybe we should not have stopped here) gravestones were in the yard, hands in the bushes, skeleton heads, etc. and the person that lived there was dressed up as Jason with mask and bloody shirt. Not the cutesy pumpkin decorations we are used to! The guy did take off his mask when he realized it was little ones at the door.

3. checking the candy after we got home i gave a prize to the most unique and gross piece of "candy"---a moonpie--that's right! Who gives a moonpie to trick or treaters??!!

4. JD and cousin Graham had their first trick or treating experience. They rode along in the wagon. JD wanted to get out and trick or treat at every stop. Graham, 7 mths old, just looked uncomfortable and like he was ready to get out of his costume!

5. Caleb told us as we were walking that he saw some ghosts!

It was fun and we also enjoyed carving our pumpkins a couple of days before the big night!
