St Louis!

We had a great time this past weekend in St. Louis! We went with Robby's family for 2 cardinals games! We headed there Friday afternoon and made the most important stop in Sikeston, MO for Lamberts! Home of the Throwed Rolls! It was delicious and we were so full afterward, as always! Saturday morning we went to the City Museum! I recommend it to anyone; lots of fun for the kids and adults as well! They have this obstacle course (for lack of a better word) outside that is enclosed and consists of stairs, walkways, airplanes, slides and it all goes higher and higher into the sky! Check it out at http://www.citymuseum.org/ It was alot of fun trying to climb through and the kids were even brave enough at some points to go higher than the adults! The inside had alot of fun things too; wish we had time to see it all. The kids rode a train and there were areas to draw, paint, and make things. The kids made these masks:

After that, we headed to the 3:00 game in the sweltering heat! Caleb was a trooper and true baseball fan. It was so hot! His cousins were not so into it as he was. Maybe that is because he had a coach for a daddy! After the game, (his cousins had already left early), he wanted to stay and try to get autographs! It was Christian Family Day and Tony Dungy was the main speaker! He and some players (including Pujols, McClellan, Wainwright, Holliday) gave their testimonies and invited others to accept Christ! It was awesome! After that we stayed and saw Albert Pujols and some others leave in the cars but no autographs. :(

On Sunday, the kids went to see the Arch with Grampy! They went inside and up to the top and had a good time! Then we went to the next game, this time a 1:00 game. We were sitting in the shade so it was not as hot! Before the game, we got there early to try to get some autographs and this time we were successful! We got Kyle McClellan's autograph (a pitcher for the cardinals). There weren't too many players out there because it rained all morning. We were hoping to run the bases after the game but there was quite a line and we stood in it for 30 minutes and didn't move. So, we decided to head back. It was a great weekend! We left JD with my parents for the weekend and I am glad we did! It was a hot weekend and I don't think he would have made it!
